Budget
The budget for your venue matters a great deal. Your ceremony is about 2-3% while your reception is about 48-50% of your budget. Plus you are going to need to make sure that the venue fees or donations work for your budget as well.
Distance
When searching for a venue, find out if the reception venue is nearby and easy to access from your ceremony location. You are going to have to consider a few essentials such as: Is it a quiet area? Can this venue fit all your guests? Your ceremony is only roughly 30 to 45 minutes of time so you will want to have a spot where your guests have parking, heating/air conditioning and restrooms nearby.
Permits
With certain areas comes permits such as public areas. Unfortunately, public areas as much as they look free there aren’t for events. If you are thinking about holding your wedding at a park or beaches then you are going to need a permit for these areas. Make sure you check and get the correct permits beforehand. Find out if there is any noise restrictions or any rules for having a wedding in a public space since each area is different.
Plan B
Let’s be real for a moment, sometimes we don’t get the venue for our wedding date. If you are completely sold on the wedding date you have chosen then you must have yourself a plan b. This is just in case your first venue is not available so make sure that it is a worthy plan b.
Final Thoughts
Wedding planning is one of the most stressful but wonderful time of your life. So when it comes to wedding venues you are going to want to choose your wedding venue properly. Consider your budget, season and distance of your potential wedding venue. Lastly, make sure that you have a plan b just in case the venue of your dreams is already taken. Overall, have fun while you search!
