Lavender essential oil is the best! It is hands down my favourite essential oil by far. I love just about everything you can think of in lavender. Lavender creams, air fresheners and more. For my son’s baths, it is a must to have lavender in it because I know that my little man will sleep much better for it. I can’t think about life without lavender it because life is so much more peaceful with it.
Why do I this? When I tell someone about an oil they always like to ask me what is the oil? What are the benefits of the oil? Why should they use it? And so many more questions! Which is completely natural to ask so I thought why not put together a simple article that tells you everything you need to know about an oil and this time I am talking about lavender. Lavender essential oil is steam distilled tops of the plants. It is also the most popular essential oil worldwide. With all the benefits you can gain from it, there is no wonder why everyone knows that lavender is the one to go to. It’s calming benefits alone is what everyone desires for bedtime and for when life gets a little hectic or stressed. It is most common items lavender is in linen sprays, perfumes, body scrubs and more! It is also the most versatile essential oils.

Lavender Benefits for Home
Internal: Yes, you can take this oil with food such as baked goods, pound cake, jams, ice cream or on its own right before bed. It is also very complimentary to dairy products.
Remedies
Allergies – (add drop to bridge of nose)
Sun Burns – (2-4 drops to skin)
Cuts – (apply directing to cuts)
Rashes – (add with coconut oil and apply to rash)
Stress – (diffuse 20 mins per day)
Dandruff – (apply directly to the scalp or few drops to shampoo)
Dry Skin – (apply to skin)
Sleep – (inhale or add 5-10 drops to bath)
Cough – (inhale)
Joint Pain – (add with coconut oil then rub on area)
Headaches – (apply to temple and back of neck)
Acne – (dab on skin)
Complexion – (1 tbs brown sugar, 1 tbs honey & few drops of lavender on face)
Lice – (add with coconut oil, massage scalp for 5-10 mins)
Wrinkles – (add 15 drops to 1 ounce of jojoba oil & 5 vitamin E capsules to face twice a day)
Dandruff – (apply 10-15 to warm olive/argon oil & massage for 5-10 min)

As much as we love the soothing smell and relaxing atmosphere it presents us, there are practical ways to use it in your daily life too.
