You might have started to hate your home and to think that it’s something you could turn into a dream might seem impossible. Because once you start falling out of love with your home, all you can think about is moving to another one. But you have to remember that you fell in love with the home that you’re in for a reason, and just because your opinions have changed, it doesn’t mean that you can’t turn your home into a dream just because you are picking out so many faults with it at the minute.
So rather than going through the hassle of having to try and move home, and the nightmares that come with that, you should start to think about the changes you can make to your home that we know will make all of the difference. All you have to do is keep on reading, and we’ll try and inspire you to turn your home into the dream home you’ve always wanted.
The Use Of Colours
The use of colours is going to be your best friend because unless you’re someone who follows interior design trends, you might just go with what your eye likes on the day when you’re redecorating. The lack of colour can lead to a bland home that you fall out of love with so quickly. So, using the bedroom as an example, the colours of grey, blush pink, and blue are really in at the minute.
You might wonder how the blue fits in, but blue is set to be the colour of the year. It only needs to be a splash of the colour to make the room pop, and it really does. Perhaps a blue decorative pillow for the bed, or blue art of the walls. It’s just that splash of colour that makes a room less neutral.
Change The Things That Make You Say ‘Ew’
You will no doubt turn your nose up at different parts of your home because you just hate them so much now. It’s usually parts of your home that are broken or worn down, yet you haven’t got round to fixing them, you just close your eyes as you walk past them. The carpet is usually a big one to ignore because you know how much it is going to cost. But what if you were to go for a different option such as vinyl flooring. It’s far cheaper than carpet, it makes more of an impact on your home, and it’s far easier to clean and to keep clean.
Embrace The Ignored Areas Of Your Home
Now it’s time to focus on the areas of your home that you ignore, such as the spare room. A spare room shouldn’t be somewhere to pile boxes and rubbish high, it can be a sanctuary for you or whoever you live with. For a woman, it could become a dressing room and a place to store clothes. Or, it could become a total mancave, it just depends who wins the argument!
