Getting more for your money
Most of us would like to have more disposable income. If you’re scrabbling around for a few spare cents at the end of the month, it’s wise to fire up your laptop or open the browser on your phone and identify ways you can get more for your money. One of the best ways to do this is to make use of comparison sites. Thanks to the web, you can now compare prices on hundreds of different products and services at the touch of a button. This can save you money on everything from gifts to broadband packages. Set aside half an hour and compare electricity prices, TV bundle offers, insurance premiums and retail prices for all those presents on your Christmas list. You may be amazed at how much you could save just by shopping around and taking advantage of special offers.Â
Hearing about sales first
Collecting points and rewards
If you’re a frequent shopper, but you’re not getting any recognition for your loyalty, you may be missing a trick. Many retailers offer reward schemes, so make sure that you’re signed up. The more you shop, the more you could save. If you’ve got points on a loyalty card or coupons that have arrived in the mail, make sure you use them. Every little helps, especially in the run-up to the holidays. It’s also worth looking at schemes like refer a friend, as you could save money or win a prize if you recommend sites or stores to others.Â
