Slim storage for baby. That is what we are discussing today. Life lately has been busy of course now my son has moved from crawling to walking. Such a cute site watching him proud stumbling around but now he is getting into everything and I mean everything he can get his little hands on. I am such a proud mama. My little man is growing up.
I went to Dollarama last weekend and I did a no-no. What is a ” no, no” you ask. Â In my definition, a “no, no” means that I bought something that was not initially on my list of what I needed to get. In my defense, I couldn’t help but buy it because I had a good idea for it. Therefore my “no, no” benefited me, Â my baby boy and this post. Let me show you what I am talking about.
Where I bought this:
When I saw it, I knew it would fit nicely on my son’s dresser and imaged what I was going to put inside. My son has a few bibs, socks and hats so this would keep it all from falling out and not squished like my old basket looked, that couldn’t really fit but I forced it to.
However, I wanted it to be organized and not look like I just threw everything in there or have to go through a routine of digging through the basket to find socks or bibs. Doesn’t help the mom on the go right? I remembered my idea for my dresser and my son’s dresser drawers, where I made dresser dividers. Then you know what I am going to say next, I made a dinner… no, I’m joking I made the dividers for it.
Here is how I made it:
I selected the self-adhesive roll of paper that I previously used for his dresser drawer dividers.
Cut cardboard to the to the correct size.
Cut design paper, make cuts towards corners of the cardboard. You should have three smaller flaps and one big flap the size of the divider.
Peel the backing and place cardboard on the sticky side in the middle. Fold flaps, over sides and leave the longest side for last.
Now, if you want, Â you can label it too
All you have to do now is insert the dividers into to storage basket and put items in the correct places.
Did you really think that is all? Of course not! Go on and explore I’d love to share more with you, check out my about page! I hope you have some time, I would love to hear from you.
