Potty Training & Mom Chart Printables

potty training chart, mom training chart

It is official I am starting the new adventure of potty training my son. Yes I bought my gear early because I knew in advance that I wanted to potty train him early. Due to some events like my surgery, trips and family visits things have not started the exact way that I planned it but that is okay. Now that things have died down a lot.

I am ready for this fun, stressful, time consuming and exciting processes of the potty training world. My son is 18 months now and I believe summer is the perfect time to start. I am home, don’t need to leave the house as often like when I have to pick up and drop off my siblings and I can monitor / focus on potty training all day.

I potty trained my sister (That was a nightmare.) so I am hoping all goes well on my second attempt on this whole potty training thing. Is boys easier to potty train? Or girls? I always think that everything really depends on the child, all children are different in approaches and methods of training in anything really.

The only problem is that my son doesn’t talk a whole lot, “Mama“. “Dada“, “Cup Cup“, “Nummie Nummie“, “Grandma“, “O“,  “Room Room” the rest is still cute baby language and movements like pointing. So my thing right now is to figure out a way for him to tell me he has to go…. I will figure that out.

I created his potty training chart and made a few extras for those of you who has little racers like me and is going through the same thing as me this summer or soon.

I thought I should match it with the theme of his potty seat (Disney’s Cars) His pullups happen to match too (wasn’t planned just worked out that way) so it was a must to tie everything together. Why not right?

You can download this free printable I created by clicking on the link below.

That is not all though.

I also created a mom chart to really monitor your child’s process of when he or she goes potty. (Just stickers are not enough for me personally) I was doing this on paper and thought maybe everyone else would enjoy it much better if it was a printable. (See how I think about you 🙂)
I will make more in different style later but for now it is still the racing theme and car theme. I mean we would not have a racer if it wasn’t for the mom or shall we say Coach Mom.
There are sections for the Date. The middle portion is for the times your child either used the bathroom, sat on the potty and used the potty. You can add what number your child did on the potty next to the time.
Completely up to you. I made sure to add note section in case there was something that happened that day you want to jot down, as well as methods you tried and so on. I will be doing a Potty Diary of what things I have tried and my adventure during the process so make sure to come back and check it out these following weeks.

I hope you have some time, I would love to hear from you. Leave a comment to say how much you enjoyed my post or even say hi, follow me on Twitter, like my Facebook page or even subscribe. I will do the same! Have a wonderful creative week!

    1. Thank you so much Keerti, I will stop by thanks for the invite 🙂

  2. I tried potty training my oldest daughter when she was 20 months old. She was doing okay about going in the potty if we were on the potty pretty much all of the time. Otherwise, there were times she was peeing in her underwear. We think that we tried potty training her too early. Later on down the road, I would ask her out of the blue if she wanted to go to the potty and she would say, 'No!' She will be 3 now in October and I'm going to be starting the potty training adventure again. I've been trying to think of special things to get her really interested again. Wish me luck!

    1. I like that you introduced it to her. She may have not been a 100% ready but she was introduced which I think is great. I wrote a post on activities you can do in my Getting potty training organized post if you want to have a look at it. http://cityofcreativedreams.blogspot.com/2014/03/potty-training-shopping-list-get-potty.html Hope that helps.

  3. All of mine are potty trained, but boy oh boy, was it a fun battle!!! lol…wish I had more resources at the time…or took advantage of more I guess. These looks so helpful!
