Did you hear the news? I got to tour the Pinterest Toronto head office. Yes, you heard that correctly. If you have been following me for a while, you may have heard me talk about Pinterest throughout the years because let’s face it I am a huge fan and I got the Pinterest boards to back me up.
So when I heard that I had the opportunity to take a tour of their office, I couldn’t hold myself from freaking out. Of course, I couldn’t keep all this goodness to myself I wrote this just for you in case you are just ask curious as I was to see what is inside. Here is my review of this amazing Pinterest Toronto office.
1. Pinterest Toronto Office Details
Let me break it down for you. Pinterest has three levels of pin-interesting areas that everyone will love. Seriously, if you feel like working from another floor, you got everything you need on each floor that fits your taste and style. The Pinterest Toronto office stands out from any workspace I have been in and it is filled with creativity.
You can instantly see the open-concept design and natural materials with all the nods to Toronto. When you are not enjoying the number of cozy lounge spaces, you can grab a coffee or food from the large kitchen/ dining area that is perfect for socializing.
2. Boardroom Themes
Every boardroom felt like a piece of Canada from classic Canadian animals in red plaid sweaters and jean-inspired walls. Don’t get me started on the Timbits and Diners boardrooms. The Pinterest Toronto head office has everything you can possibly think of.
I personally loved the donuts boardroom with all the different coloured Timbits floating from the ceiling. I wouldn’t mind a meeting in that room.
3. Indoor Tropical Oasis
My favourite space was the area with all the greenery and variety of plants throughout the space. It felt like I walked off a plane and was plopped on a tropical oasis. All the plants are real, except for the cherry blossom tree but it didn’t matter because it felt so relaxing. It is the perfect space to sit back and enjoy the tropical oasis that they created. Doesn’t this feel so soothing?
4. Library
This library area has everything you need from a sitting nook to books all over the shelves. Even a fireplace, in case you wanted to curl up by the fire to get some work done. However, what really makes this space stand out is the hidden wall. Yes, there is a hidden door disguised as a wall!
It blew my mind! As a lover of hidden rooms, this was a surprise that kept on giving. The hidden wall opens up to a speakeasy room filled with neat items and seating. It is such a great spot to hide away and get some work done or even take a nap if you really wanted to. I mean would your manager even find you?
5. Wellness Room
This couldn’t be an office without a wellness room. I know that Pinterest is all about wellness so this space is perfect to go to take your mind off things. The temperature is completely different from the rest of the office. Plus the added touches of the diffuser and wallpaper truly make you feel like you are at a spa. All you need to do is sit back and relax.
6. Glamorous Glamping
If you don’t want to work at your desk or in a boardroom there are plenty of other spaces that you can sit in, such as this glamping area. I absolutely love the style from the chairs to the twinkling lights. It made me want to grab some friends and hang out. The best part is that you can get the glamping experience without actually leaving the area.
7. Gaming Areas
If glamping is not your style, what about a break to play some games? Whether you are into playing video games with your coworkers or playing ping pong, there is plenty to do to have some fun. I am in love with how they did the lighting in the video game space. They have all the games you can use and a curved seating area. This space just screams to stop working and have some fun. I want this in my future home.
Final Thoughts
I am still pinching myself about getting to tour the Pinterest Toronto office. I really did enjoy every minute from the Cafe area to the 3rd floor. It was such an honour to be able to visit and I even got my Pinterest verification check mark so your girl is verified now! If you want to check out my Pinterest journey you can do so here!
