I needed a natural way of removing pee from a mattress. If you have a child or a pet then you know the annoying smell and hassle of getting rid of it. Sometimes you want to just burn the clothes or mattress because at times it feels like the smell will never get out. Chemical wise, it is not cutting it for me anymore and I wanted to find a better solution for getting rid of the odor and smell of pee. I thought I would try out the natural cleaning solutions that I saw on Pinterest. Pinterest is technically my Google these days because I didn’t want to waste a ton of money on chemical or non-chemical products again when I could solve my problem with things I already had at home. Green Cleaning!
What You Need:
It is very simple actually, you need vinegar, an empty spray bottle, water
and baking soda if you would like.
You will need equal parts of vinegar and water.
I used 1 cup of water.
I poured it first into my spray bottle.
Then I did the same with the vinegar. I poured 1 cup.
At first, it all didn’t fit so I got a container and pours all of the water and vinegar together then poured into my spray bottle.
It looks like this after.
A great tip is to label the bottle. You don’t want any confusion of what is inside it.
Next, spray the bed. (I personally soaked the bed with this stuff) and let dry for 4 hours or until it is dry. The best time to do this is during the school hours for those little ones at school or have a bedroom lockdown so no little ones are playing on the mattress during this time.
Love this so much, I found that this really worked. I used it without the baking soda and it was fine for me. Also, I didn’t smell any odor or anything. I heard people have done the baking soda part as well so either way is good as long as the job gets done, right! If you have tried this or another natural cleaning recipe I would love to hear it.
Looks like a good list! Thanks for inviting me :0)
