If you are planning your wedding and honeymoon at the same time then you are got a lot of work to do. One reason why I wouldn’t recommend planning your wedding and honeymoon at the same time is that it can be such a time-consuming process. However, it is possible to do so if you follow the suggestions below.
Focus on One At Time
In order to really master planning both is to focus at one at a time. Even though you are planning both at the same doesn’t mean you have to be multitasking. This can mean that you work on your wedding planning on certain days and your honeymoon on another. By dividing your days, you can give your wedding or honeymoon individual time and really focus.
Split the Task
Another option is to have one of you focus on the wedding and the other focus on the honeymoon. Of course, you will both need to sit down and iron out what you want and need for first your wedding and second your honeymoon. That way you will have a game plan. Once you have set some guidelines and details needed to get done, it is easy for each person to get the task completed.
Schedule
So that everyone is on the same page create a schedule of appointments and important dates things need to get completed. You will want to have one for yourself that have wedding things that need to get done, your fiancé should have one for the honeymoon planning. This can include things like your cake tasting, venue viewing and when you have to go get your passport renewal.
Take A Break
You are going to get tired and stress. It will feel like your list is never ending so to keep yourself healthy and sane, take a break! Carve out time to spend time together that has nothing to do with your wedding or your honeymoon planning. This may be hard but you can do it. Put your feet up, go out for dinner or simply go watch a movie. Planning will always be there the next day so dedicated no wedding days and spend the precious time together to relax and have some fun.
Final Thoughts
Ready to plan your wedding and honeymoon at the same time? Now you are! All you really have to do is focus on one at a time by dividing the days or by splitting the task so that one of you is working on either your wedding or honeymoon. Make sure that you schedule everything so that you two are on the same page about where to go and when to be there. This will keep you in rhythm throughout the planning process. Lastly but most importantly, make sure to have a “no wedding” day where you two spend time together to relax and have some fun!
