Are you tired of staring at a basic brown clipboard? Me too! I am talking about how to make DIY paintbrush stroke clipboards to bring some flavour to your clipboards. As much as I need a clipboard, I couldn’t stand it being on my wall looking plain. It needed to have something, anything! Therefore I decided to open up my craft box and get myself some craft paint. Here is how to make it:
 Step 1
You are going to need a blank clipboard. I bought mine from the dollar store.
Step 2
Here are the materials you will need:
Step 3
Use the painter’s tape and place it underneath the clip.
Step 4
Next, take the satin acrylic paint colour of your choice and paintbrush to make horizontal strokes. Repeat the process and feel free to play with light and dark paint colours. I bought my paint from Michael’s Craft store.
Step 5
Let the paint dry for at least 5-10 minutes.
Step 6
When dry, slowly peel the painter’s tape off.
Step 7
Repeat the process with other clipboards. Try different colour combinations.
Final Thoughts
This is such an easy and fun way to give your boring clipboards some life. This simple craft is easy for anyone to do and it doesn’t take long to make. So the next time you think about donating your clipboard because you no longer like the style, give it a makeover instead.
