Welcome to your upcoming wedding. Step inside the experience for a moment. Truly put yourself here and gaze. I worked on this project for Shutterfly’s site with great imagination. It all started with this Personalized Foil Wedding Invitation called Garland Initials. I choose it because it really reflects the barn wedding style Shutterfly was going for. My aim is to transport you into a gold tone, blue accent paired with a natural wood/barn themed wedding. Here is how to make your own:
How to Create an Elegant Wedding Centerpiece?
For the centrepieces, I made sure to use materials that can be used again. One of the problems for DIY wedding centrepieces is that there isn’t a way to reuse the materials again after the wedding. Which is such a waste when you have worked so hard on it. Don’t you think? The smart and savvy bride (and groom) will DIY keeping in mind how to repurpose what they have used.
Here is a way to get the best of both worlds.
The boxes I bought at a craft store were on sale for BOGO (Buy One Get One Free). These are everyday wood boxes you can use for storage and organizing all throughout your home. However, for right now, I have decided that I am going to use it for my centrepieces.
To get this look you will need:
- A Wooden Storage Box
- Painter tape
- Paintbrush
- Imitation Flowers
- Gold Paint
Flowers
For the added touches to my centrepieces, I added one smaller berry bush that matched the colour scheme of my flowers as accents. I also bought these at a craft store on a BOGO. Bending the stems so that it was able to maneuver in different directions into the flowers I placed.
To keep the reception table unique and have a little variety, I decided to have to bend the branches of the hydrangeas and intertwine them into each other as my focal centrepiece. It will look likes I have singling placed the flowers into your box when I actually used the same flowers in a completely different way. When the wedding is finished you can collect the flowers and turn them into gifts as well as distribute them throughout your home.
