As we stand in a new year I have been thinking about how to manifest your best year and thought maybe this year I would try something different. Every year I hear about or see someone talk about a vision board and although I have loved the idea of it, I never actually took the time to make one for myself until now.
Of course, I wanted to do something different with my vision board because I don’t have the space to put up a vision board on my wall, however, I do have a phone wallpaper and desktop wallpaper that I can use for my vision board. So that’s what I am going to do. I am going to make a digital vision board online.

How to Manifest Your Best Year?
A new year is the perfect moment to set intentions, embrace growth, and cultivate the life you’ve always envisioned. Before we can start a vision board we first need to do the following:
- Reflect on Your Achievements and Lessons: Reflecting on the past is a must, I personally love doing a year recap and writing down all that has happened in the year, and then I use that info to make a video showing clips about it. It’s my way to celebrate my achievements and acknowledge that lessons and hard days or months were also mixed with fun moments.
- Clarify Your Intentions: Next, answer this question: What do you truly desire in the upcoming year? What do you want to achieve in different areas of your life? Be specific about your goals. Consider your goals in relationships, career, personal development, health, and more.
Before Making a Vision Board Online
A vision board is more than an aesthetically pleasing collage of pretty pictures, it’s a visual representation of your dreams and goals. By compiling images, words, and symbols, the process of making a vision board is both creative and cathartic.
Gather Your Materials: Canva & Pinterest.
Unlike a physical vision board that requires gathering materials like magazines, scissors, a glue stick, a poster board, and markers. All you need to make an online version is the following:
- Free account on Canva to make your vision board. Find a template that matches what you are looking for. If you have a free account, make sure you are choosing templates that do not have a “premium crown” on the bottom left corner.
- Sign into your Pinterest account. You are going to use your account to find photographs, quotes, or anything else that speaks to you.
Create a Positive Environment.
Now this is completely optional but I always believe that you should create a positive environment when you are going to get set the mood for your creative process. A positive environment enhances the manifestation energy of your vision board. Here are a few ways of doing this:
- Play some uplifting music.
- Light a scented candle.
- Find a cozy space that inspires your creativity.
Visualize Your Goals.
Take a moment and close your eyes. Give yourself a few minutes to visualize achieving your goals. It’s good to feel the emotions associated with your accomplishments because it is going to give you the vibes you need for this process. This step sets the tone for selecting images and words that truly resonate with your aspirations.
How to Make a Vision Board Online
Step 1: Get a Template from Canva.
Step 2: Search for Vision Board Templates.
Step 3: Choose a Vision Board Template
Step 4: Select Images and Words.
In the apps tab section, search for the Pexels app. This app allows you to search for photos to use on your vision board. Of course, don’t forget to use Pinterest as well. Pinterest has plenty of ideas that you can use for your own board.
Remember that you are selecting images and words that align with your goals. Trust your intuition – if something catches your eye, it’s meant to be on your vision board. Be open to unexpected finds. Incorporate personal touches to make your vision board uniquely yours. This could include photographs of yourself, notes to yourself, or photos of specific objects that hold sentimental value.
Step 5: Arrange.
Once you have a collection of images and words, arrange them on your template. Move photos and words around and play with different layouts until it feels just right.
6. Display Your Vision Board.
When you’re satisfied, download the wallpaper image and upload it to the computer’s wallpaper image in the settings area of your device.
Your vision board is a visual reminder of your goals. If you are like me then placing it as your computer wallpaper is the perfect place for you to see it daily. Another place you can put one is on your phone screen saver or any device where you spend a significant amount of time.
7. Regularly Reflect and Update:
Lastly, set aside time to regularly reflect on your vision board. There is no pressure if you don’t get all of them done within 12 months. Celebrate the goals that you have achieved and consider updating them as your aspirations evolve. A vision board is a living representation of your dreams so have fun with it!
Final thoughts
This is my first year making a vision board online and I am excited to take the leap. If I am being honest, the most that I have done is make a vision board for my future home (which is so much fun by the way). Have you made a vision board this year or in the past? I would love to hear if making a vision board has worked for you and what are some things you have put on yours.
