So Yesterday, I was working most of the day on this family bulletin project. Well, maybe I should say all day because I had to stop so many times because my son needed my attention. I have learned that “needed my attention” is just code for I had to feed, change or put my son to sleep. A day in the life of a mom… right? However, my crazy day and I mean crazy if you knew all that happened yesterday. I was even beginning to think that this project would never get complete I mean you would be shocked that I managed to finish this project but it is done. I am so proud of the final outcome and excited to share how I made it.
You know how with kids things tend to break. Well, long hallway mirrors tend to break at our place from speeding down the hallway or accidentally bumping into it. If you have kids you know this all too well. My mom’s mirror frame broke off the mirror (This time not because of the kids) so I decided to keep the frame for this occasion in particular. After months of it sitting and waiting for me to be inspired enough to make it into something… I finally had the materials to do so.
Here is how I made it.
Glue the cork boards onto the cardboard and when dry, you can hang it up.
Hang up your family schedules or activities. I love the turnout, it really made a huge difference on my wall. While you are still here, if you have some time, I would love for you too see what else I have done with a bulletin board. Check out my project for my sister’s bedroom. Enjoy!
I have some of the same cork board laying around. I need to make one. Thanks for inspiring me to create one! Theresa 😉

Wow, chanise. I love the thriftiness in keeping the frame and putting it to such good use. I have a home made corkboard from recycled wine corks, but it's still missing a border. Now looking at this, maybe that's what it needs…. There has to be a reason that I havent yet blogged about it, right?!
That's a great idea Rose, a showcase frame would look perfect for the recycled wine corks or you can cut each into thin slices and make a cork designed cork board. I am happy that I inspired you. Thank you for stopping by and commenting. 🙂
Wow! That is a big bulletin board! how nice to keep the family organized…..
It was so fun to see this linked up at our party. I pinned!! Thanks much!! 🙂

I like how you upcycled the mirror frame and found a new use for it instead of just throwing it out. Thanks for sharing it on Merry Monday. Hope to see you next week with a new project(if your little one will allow it).
