I wanted something to organize my flip flops without having to go out and buy another container so I came up with a DIY project to accomplish that very solution. I wanted a flip-flop holder and I want to show you how I made one.
Here is how I made it.
First, you will need a box. I used my instant oatmeal box
Cut the pillow case or cloth. Make sure there is enough fabric to go inside the box.
Mine looks like this. (Take the half that has a no opening)
If you using a pillow case like I am, stick the box inside of the cut pillow case.
and place the extra fabric inside.
Next get some nice designed duct tape.
Duct tape down the extra pieces of fabric inside of the box like this.
(Perfect so that no sand or a wet flip flop damages the box)
For the outside, I used an old belt that I never use.
I wrapped it around the box
To make sure it fit nicely around, I used a safety pin to hold the extra fabric in place.
There you have it.
Now all you have to do is insert your flip flops
and place it in your closet.
This project was so fun to make. Now I have my flip flops all ready for when I need them for my next trip.
