Choosing an engagement ring is one of the most stressful jobs you will have to do when you are looking to propose to the person you love. Everyone is different and the things you find the most attractive might not be to their taste.
However, using sights like 77 Diamonds you will be able to find a huge range of rings which will suit all different types of fingers, and here are some quick tips to help you out.
Short fingers
If you notice that the person you want to propose to has short fingers, you might want to choose a diamond which is elongated and which travels down the finger in order to lengthen the finger. Something such as an oval cut can look great, but also a cut such as a pear would be ideal for someone who has fairly short fingers to work with.
 Long fingers
If you notice that your spouse has longer fingers which are often associated with artists and pianists, you will want to find a style which is bold and dramatic because this will make a bigger impact on the finger as a whole. For example, you can think about going for something like big stones or a cluster of stones in a round shape which will bring attention to the ring and will look amazing on the finger.
Slim fingers
If you have a woman who has rather slim fingers, you are going to need to choose a design which doesn’t completely swamp and take over them because this can end up looking too much and it can overpower their hand. You can go for a more narrow or shortcut or a ring which has a small central ring and a few little diamonds on the sides.
Wide fingers
With wider fingers your never want there to be too much space on either side of the diamond which shows off the finger because this will end up looking a little bit odd. The best thing you can do here is to choose a fairly large cluster style for the finger which will cover the skin and make he fingers seem a little smaller than they really are.
Small hands
Small handed people are at risk of feeling totally lost underneath a huge engagement ring and this can end up not looking as nice as you had hoped it would. A simple square or round cut will be ideal for those with small hands because the design isn’t too fussy and it won’t completely swamp the fingers.
Big hands
People who have large hands can be great to but an engagement ring for purely due to the fact that their fingers are so much bigger and can withstand more than most. You can go to town finding a really wonderful ring which is a large cluster, a huge heart shaped cut or something which packs a punch. Anything which can make the hand seem a little smaller, by comparison, is ideal and it will make the hand feel more delicate when the ring is on the hand.
