Behind the Blog: My Current Workspace

workspace ideas

I came across a company called by WeWork and it gave me the inspiration to write this post and share my current workspace with you all. That is exciting! Don’t know who WeWork is? A little background info about WeWork, is that they are a coworking company that builds communities to empower people to do what they love by providing workspaces for companies and individuals.

Who wouldn’t love a company that allows you to be you which is why I decided to be inspired by office spaces at WeWork and share my own.

I never thought I would share my workspace. However, now you get the behind the blog view to the making of my blog and see where all the blog magic gets done!

Until I realized that my workspace is more of a work bed space. The beautiful glass desk that is beside my bed is just for show and well for storage. I honestly never sit there. The place I really sit, write and create is from my comfortable bed.

It might not be as amazing as let’s say my own office, but it gets my work done. Since living in a shared apartment with my mom, siblings and son it leaves me with little room for my own personal workspace so I made my bed my workspace. It is my favorite place in the apartment and the only spot where I don’t have to share it.
The couch always has a child on it, the desk in the living room always has a child on it, the dining room table tends to have a child on it so there is not much I can work with there. However, my room is mine even though I share with my son and he sometimes claims a side of my bed, it is still all mine.

My bed has the space that I need to be comfortable while still lets me be productive. I can curl up against my pillows to tackle my blogging activities, edit photos, and social media or make my crafts. You know I love TV and I have my own here. It tends to have kids cartoons on it throughout the day for when my son decides to watch.

I have my fan on for when I am feeling hot or for when I am cold because my body cannot make up its mind at times. A window to bring sunlight and then there is the most important that I love about my workspace, it is the amount of pillows I have. One long pillow, four pillows and then two throw pillows. Awww the comfort!

My creativity always starts in here.
If I could create the ultimate dream space work environment it would look along something like this.

There is so much you can do to an office space and I think the ceilings should have some decor and design to it. I want an L-shaped desk with storage and a hint of blue like this home office from Little Pink Notebook. The L-shaped desk will be for my crafts and sewing. A nice organized wall and storage that stores my tools, crafts, and fabric.

A nice comfy office chair similar to this IKEA LILHOJDEN swivel chair and a little bit of sparkle like this ORTOFTA Chandelier from IKEA.  A seating area by the window like this window seating Thrifty Decor Chick created would be for when I want to just curl up and relax with my laptop.

But wait there is more, this dream workspace of mine would have another section for my photography with the lighting  equipment, backdrop, and camera. Then a separate desk for my computer so I can edit my photos and do my blog activities. A girl can dream, right?
