Have you given it some consideration? Do you want a more natural lifestyle but with all the options out there is it hard for you to figure out how to start this? I know what you mean. It can be hard. Especially when you are a beginner in this process. So, I thought I would put a guide together for you that gives you an helping hand when it comes to getting your life restarted naturally.
Problems That Can Arise
One of the many problems is that there are a million different types of ways to be natural in your life plus there are a million opinions from other people too. Some think this way is better some think that way is better. Plus, trends are always coming and going. It gets overwhelming.
What is the right way to be Natural?
My answer is the best way is the way you craft it. Why? Because at the end of the day, you need to love it. It doesn’t work if you are not loving it. It doesn’t succeed if it’s forced upon. You have to want to do this for yourself. How can you really gain the best benefits for yourself?
For some, the best way to start this is to slowly break into this lifestyle while others like to rip the bandage right off the bat. Whether the type you are, you are going to need the information below.
Tip 1 – Check the Labels
You may have been accustomed to having to never check the back of the label. Many rely on reviews of bloggers, YouTube and commercials to try products. Completely forgetting to really check the labels. Why? Because we would never think that companies would misguide us in any way. However, there is no rule that tells companies they can’t. Therefore, we can’t trust every item that says ‘Natural’, ‘Organic’, ‘Free From’, ‘Nontoxic’, ‘Hypoallergenic‘, or even ‘Gentle’ on it. You have to look at the back of the bottle. The ingredients expose the real truth.
Tip 2 – Avoid This Ingredient
Parabens:
Removing products with parabens is definitely a starting point for beginners. Unfortunately, parabens are used as a synthetic preservative in your products. It is found in your skin care products (such as your soaps), body products (such as toothpaste and deodorants) & hair products.
In order for you to reframe from getting products that have parabens in it. You need to know how to spot them in your product labels. Parabens are hidden in your product labels under the names of:
- alkyl parahydroxybenzoate
- butylparaben
- ethylparaben
- isobutylparabens
- methylparaben
- propylparaben
Why do you need to avoid parabens? The reason for running far away from parabens is because it is linked to cancer. It is known to change breast cancer cells and create tumours. Also, it mimics estrogen in your body and it can lead to fertility or fetal development problems. Make sure to also, watch out for ‘paraben free’ products which can have

Tip 3 – See Before You Buy
To check out your products before buying is verified. Environmental Working Group (also known as EWG) has a database for you to find out. You can check out how harmful a product is to you just by going on their site –www.ewg.org. It is nice to be able to stand in the store or research a product you have learned about from your favourite blogger or Youtube video to see if they are labelled with an EWG VERIFIEDâ„¢ seal or NEA SEAL OF ACCEPTANCEâ„¢.
