Stress is your worst enemy. It is as if you are hiking up a mountain when a very heavy backpack. However, it happens to everyone, we can run but we really can’t hide from it. There are a few things you need to do when life gets to feel like too much. Today I want to share with you my go-to to make life a little bit less stressed.
Music
I have to say music is my number one. It is there for all kinds of moods. The lyrics seem to truly resonate with me at that moment when I am stressed. There are a few classic songs that are my go-to mood booster such Please Don’t Stop The Music by Rihanna, Lean On by Major Lazer, Summer Fever by Little Big Town, Poison by Bell Biv Devoe and Creep by TLC. These songs plus more gets me pumped up and ready to concur life.
Dance
Spa
Whether it is a spa day at home or one at a fabulous location. You need a moment to relax. I went to a salt cave spa that was so relaxing. It consists of sitting down, smelling the salt air and allowing thoughts to drift away. I have to say it was such a calming time for me. No phone. No problems. All peace. If you do not have the money to go to a spa you can always make one at home with face masks, nail polish and slices of cucumber.
Netflix
I don’t know about you but binge-watching Netflix is a great escape. Watch classic shows like Friends or Gilmore Girls that really make you laugh. Or movies you been dying to watch. There as some really good Netflix shows as well such as You and Dirty John. All you really need to do is add some snacks and a cozy blanket and you are good to go.
Aromatherapy
My diffuser is my best friend when it comes to being stress. I personally love using lavender essential oils! Lavender is the definition of relaxation to me. It is calming and instantly takes me from rattled to settled in a matter of five minutes. I simply add three drops to my differs and allow all the smell of lavender to fill up my bedroom. It is also great for when you are having a bad day or need help to sleep at night.

Don’t stress, my dear! With these suggestions above you will be out of a rut in no time. If work is one of your stressors then you should make time to do this a couple of times a week. Work should stay a wore but sometimes it is stuck to you. Use these suggestions to lessen your stress load and add more happiness in your life. Let go of your stress, my friend!
