1. DIY Drawer Dividers

We all know how quickly drawers can become a dumping ground for random items—socks, underwear, makeup—you name it! If you’re like me and have an endless supply of Amazon boxes, here’s a genius way to repurpose them: make your own drawer dividers!

Grab one of those Amazon boxes you’ve been saving and cut off the flaps. Next, wrap the pieces in adhesive wallpaper (or any decorative paper) to make them look chic and functional. These DIY dividers fit perfectly in your drawers and help create designated spaces for everything, making it easy to find what you need in a pinch. Plus, this hack is an affordable way to upgrade your drawer organization without buying expensive organizers.

2. Cord Management Solutions

Let’s talk cords. You know the ones that seem to magically tangle up into a mess by your desk or TV stand? Seeing a bundle of tangled cords can instantly make any room feel chaotic, but there’s a simple solution: cord organizers!

I love using cord organizer boxes to hide unsightly cords, especially around my computer area. These cable management boxes are stylish enough to blend into your decor while keeping the cords and PowerBar hidden from view.

You can even level up your cord management game by using cord bands or a cord organizer bag for travel. Not only does this keep cords from tangling, but it also ensures you keep track of your chargers or cables.

3. Freezer Organization Tips

Who else finds the freezer to be one of the hardest areas to keep organized? Between the frozen veggies, ice cream, and half-used bags of frozen fruit, it can get chaotic quickly—especially if you’re working with limited space. But I’ve got a hack that’s a total game-changer for freezer organization: slim file bins!

Yes, the same kind you’d use for organizing papers can work wonders in your freezer. By placing items like frozen vegetables, snacks, or pre-prepped meals in these bins, you’ll create vertical “drawers” in your freezer. Not only does this save space, but it also makes it so much easier to pull out exactly what you need without digging through piles of food. Add labels to each bin, and you’ve just created a system that will keep your freezer organized and functional.

No more food avalanches or forgotten frozen items! With this simple trick, you’ll actually look forward to organizing your freezer. Here is the products I’ve used:

4. Space-Saving Clothes Hangers

Next up is a hack that has truly transformed my closet. If you’ve ever struggled to fit all your clothes into a small space, this one is for you: space-saving velvet hangers!

When I switched from bulky plastic hangers to these thin velvet ones, I was shocked at how much more I could fit in my closet. Not only do they save space, but the velvet also prevents your clothes from slipping off the hanger. And, let’s be real—having all your hangers match in colour and style instantly makes your closet look more organized and put together.

You can find these hangers in large packs for a great price on Amazon or even at your local dollar store. Trust me, once you make the switch, you’ll never go back to regular hangers again. Your closet will not only hold more clothes, but it’ll also look like a million bucks while doing so!

5. DIY Under-Bed Storage

Last but certainly not least, let’s talk about under-bed storage. This is one of my favourite hacks because it’s all about maximizing space in a way that’s smart and functional.

I decided to create my own under-bed storage by using IKEA KOMPLEMENT Mesh basket bins. Instead of spending money on fancy storage containers, I purchased four affordable bins and tied two of them together. This way, when I pull out one, I can easily access everything, even items tucked at the very back. You can also add wheels to the bins if you want, but I chose not to so I can have space to stack items vertically.

This hack is perfect for storing off-season clothing, extra bedding, or even kids’ toys—whatever you need to keep out of sight but still easily accessible. It’s a fantastic way to make the most of the space under your bed, and the best part? You can customize it to fit your specific needs.
