Every soon-to-be bride wants only the best for her big day; however it’s important to realize that in order to achieve your maximum, you need to be ready to give your maximum. Of course, sometimes, this is easier said than done. With everything that’s going around, it becomes overwhelming and near impossible to remember every detail of the preparation, which only results in complete chaos and high levels of stress in everybody involved, especially the bride. But, what if we told you that we know the secret to planning a stress-free wedding? While it might sound impossible, we assure you that it’s quite doable and all you have to do is remember these few things:
Find an All-Inclusive Wedding Venue
When you finally begin your wedding preparations, you start to realize just how much work and memorizing you need do. Starting from booking the venue, finding a caterer, professional decorator, florist, photographer, band, makeup artist all the way to picking out your wedding gown, bridesmaid dresses, the flavour of your wedding cake etc. Feeling dizzy already? In order to try and eliminate at least a handful of these tasks, the most effective way is to try and find an all-inclusive venue. This can greatly help you keep your mind at ease, as there are venues that’ll manage the decorating, catering, photography and other aspects of wedding planning for of you. Surely these venues tend to be pricier, but can you really put a price on your mental health?
Try to Be Flexible
Many soon-to-be brides have already envisioned how their perfect day will look like and aren’t ready to make any compromises about it. Of course, even if you plan everything to the smallest details, there are always unexpected things that might prevent you from accomplishing your plans entirely. Flexibility is key here. Being willing to accept things as they happen and finding new, alternative solutions is the most important thing when it comes to stress-free weddings. Not everything will always go as planned, but sometimes, the most important thing is to keep the bigger picture in mind and focus on other ways of making it happen.
Make A Priority List
Everybody has their own priorities; for some that’s having the most spectacular venue, for others achieving the best atmosphere on their big day, purchasing a beautiful gown, having the best decorations, the happiest guests etc. If you wish to come out of these preparations still sane, it would be best to create your personal priority list and act on it. This will help you focus most of your attention on the things that are the most important for you and give you the chance to make your dreams a reality. Of course, it’s crucial not to forget to look out for yourself, so make sure that your priority list includes some time for yourself, pampering, treats and other things that’ll help you overcome all the tasks and responsibilities for the big day.
Include Everybody
Lastly, don’t hesitate to seek help when you need it. Include your closest friends and family members in the preparation process and give them the chance to slightly unburden you. Place someone in charge of writing and sending the wedding invitations, tell others manage the wedding place cards and give someone the task of preparing the wedding favours. There are a lot of small tasks and jobs that can be done quite easily with just a few helping hands.
There are a lot of factors that might contribute to a stress-free wedding, but in the end, it all comes down to accepting things as they are, accepting help from others and learning how to be more flexible and able to handle unexpected situations.
